TC Wolves announce Brad Haney as new Head Coach
...Continued from home page.
The 2009 Great Lakes Champion Traverse City Wolves have named Brad Haney as the new Head Coach of the Traverse City Wolves. Haney replaces Daniel Skibbe, who coached the team in its inaugural season in 2009 while also serving as team owner and general manager. Skibbe guided the Wolves in their first season to a Great Lakes Conference Championship and deep into the NAFL Playoffs. Skibbe will keep his other positions moving forward.
Haney, 29, has previous experience as the head coach of the Grand Rapids Thunder (USFA). Haney guided the Grand Rapids Thunder to the 2008 Western Champions and in the past season he guided the Thunder to the Mid-State Championship along with a trip to Florida.
"We as an organization are proud to name Brad Haney as our Head Coach. We feel that Coach Haney is the right person to lead the TC Wolves to the next level of playoffs, and ultimately to our first NAFL Championship". Said team Owner Daniel Skibbe. "I am proud to become the new Head Coach of the Traverse City Wolves, and look forward to leading them to a Championship. This is a dream come true for me, rarely does a coach inherit a team with 6 All-Stars, is a division Winner and have the community support that the TC Wolves have. I could not have asked for a better situation to come into, and I will do my best to take us to the next level", said Brad Haney.
More than a dozen candidates applied for the TC Wolves Head Coaching Position.
