The Traverse City Wolves play in the Great Midwest Football League. The GMFL was founded in March of 2007.

The Wolves are now in their third season. The first two were played in the NAFL, with the 2011 season marking the first to take place in the GMFL for the team. In their first Season the Wolves went 7-3 and were Division Champs. The Wolves would advance to the 3rd round of the playoffs where they would see their season end.

In 2009, six Wolves players earned a trip to the NAFL All-Star game in Miami.
